The island is the cradle of a high quality raw material and is an expert in a unique weaving know-how that is perpetuated and developed from generation to generation. Entirely handmade, Vanessa Bruno raffia bags require five to twenty-two days of work for the most complex models. This production allows Malagasy women to have access to a profession and a stable source of income. We are proud to label all our bags with a leather label stating "Handmade in Madagascar".
